Brief Bio
Fiammetta Marulli is currently an Assistant Professor at the Dept of Maths and Physics of the University of Campania, in Caserta, Italy. She is a titular of Data Analytics teaching course in that university and Software Engineering at the Computer Science and Engineering Dept. of Unicampania. She got her Ph.D. in 2016 at the University of Naples Federico II, with a dissertation dealing with Natural Language Processing techniques applied to IoT applications in the Cultural Heritage domain. She worked for many years as a research fellow at National Research Council of Italy (ICAR- CNR). Her past and current interest of research deal with Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, and Deep Neural Networks applied to Cloud and Distributed Systems, IoT advanced applications.

SCOPE

The next-generation of the Internet will promote smart and proficient interaction among humans, machines, and things. Current research on IoT is primarily conducted from the perspective of identifying, connecting and managing objects.

This special session aims to collect and promote novel and original contributions to enhance the IoT with intelligence and awareness provided by Artificial Intelligence, mainly investigating, but not limited to, the Deep Learning (DL) for the Internet of Things Data Analytics, newer frontiers on distributed learning paradigms over the Internet of Things, Security and Privacy issues related to AI applied to IoT, covering several domain-specific application.

We invite international researchers and practitioners to submit papers describing original work, experiences, or vision related to the entire lifecycle of emerging IoT systems powered by AI and DL.

PUBLICATIONS

After thorough reviewing by the special session program committee, all accepted papers will be published in a special section of the conference proceedings book - under an ISBN reference and on digital support - and submitted for indexation by SCOPUS, Google Scholar, DBLP, Semantic Scholar, Microsoft Academic, EI and Web of Science / Conference Proceedings Citation Index.
